Squonk in the Library – Way of the Drum

Imagine a workshop where you learn the “Way of the Drum,” inspired by the magical world of Squonk! In this hands-on session, Squonk’s Bassist T-Funk engages kids with the science of drumming and rhythm, while learning the story of the drum and its importance and significance in different cultures. This is your opportunity to play different percussion instruments and learn how to count rhythms with a group via sonic science experiments and rhythm games.

Saturday, September 19th from 10:30-11:30 in the gazebo. No registration is required.  This program is intended for children in Kindergarten-6th grade, but anyone can join in if space allows.  This program will take place outside in the gazebo unless weather forces us inside (where space is extremely limited).
