
Miss Alice Luella Thompson was born in 1882 and graduated from the nurses’ school of the Allegheny General Hospital in 1906. She served in a hospital in Los Angeles, California for two years prior to leaving to serve in World War I as a nurse attached to the United States Naval Base Hospital No. 3 in France. Her service card shows that she died on October 24, 1918 in Leith, Scotland. She was interred in December of 1918 at Union Dale Cemetery. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Thompson, and the sister of Mr. Victor E. Thompson, Mrs. J.M. Weaver, Mrs. J.H. Woods, and Miss Annette Thompson. The family lived at 554 Teece Avenue in Bellevue.
