Week 19, 5/7/21-5/13/21: Write a letter to your mother
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9th, so take some time and handwrite your mother a letter. This may be your biological mother, your adopted mother, your grandmother, an amazing mentor, a mother you never met, or your mother who died years ago.
Hand writing letters has numerous benefits. It allows us to express feelings we may not normally feel comfortable discussing, can help with grieving, and encourages you to think more deeply about what you are saying. In addition, numerous studies indicate that expressing gratitude can lead to higher levels of happiness and general well-being.
Blank cards and envelopes are available at the library! Bonus points if you mail it!
