Kids aged 6-10 are invited to create, tinker, and play the second Saturday of the month at 2:00 p.m. Each month we’ll explore a new topic and activity to get a better understanding of coding and how it works!
10/12: What are codes?
We’ll start at the beginning and explore what a code is. We’ll practice American Sign language, learn some cool secret ciphers, and make binary necklaces!
11/9: Computational Thinking
How do computers think and how do coders tell computers what to do? We’ll play a couple games to learn more about computational thinking and then build mazes for Hexbugs.
One of the most important things to understand when building codes is sequencing. This month we’ll use story charts and Beebots to understand why order matters.
Space is limited. Please call Bayne Library to register!
